Sloss Furnaces is a former smelting factory located in Birmingham, Alabama.
Background[]
Sloss Furnaces used to be a bustling ironworks long ago. However, it was notorious for having poor working conditions and didn't install things to keep workers safe. This was evident when two workers fell into molten metal after one of the towers experienced a problem (and were incinerated instantaneously). The factory closed down years ago, but remains a tourist attraction.
